FAA Announces Requirements for Drone Remote ID

On Jan 1st, 2020 the FAA released a Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM) for Remote identification of drones. For now this only effects our Southern neighbors but it is the first indication of what we can expect in the coming years. As law are created and adopted by the FAA Transport Canada usually mimics their decisions with minor edits and tweaks. This NPRM has caused quite a stir in the online community, quickly generating many different articles and opinions on the topic. Most of them are admittedly very critical of the proposal but that is what makes for good news.
